Andrew Levine came to New York City in 1988 with a passion for photography, a sense of exploration, and an eye for beauty. His earliest work of photographing people in their natural environments laid the foundation for a fruitful career as a portrait photographer. Since that time, he has created more than 750 commissioned assignments in the editorial and advertising markets. About those photographs Andrew states, “I try to see God’s inherent beauty in everyone, and that is what I photograph”. It is his rare ability to capture people’s integrity, humanness, and spirit that have made his portraiture unique in style and quality.
In the months that followed, September 11, 2001, Levine spent a great deal of time contemplating how he would now express himself photographically. As a personal pursuit, he dedicated himself to showing himself and others, through photographs, that beauty, stillness, and the subtle moments of life are inherent in everything. It was during that time that he created these flower images.
About this work Levine states, “these photographs are simply a different form of my same vision”. He expresses the beauty and sensuality of each image in such a captivating way, it is as if each one invites the viewer to have an intimate relationship with it.
Andrew’s flower photographs have been exhibited in New York City and California and have been purchased for private and corporate collections.
